About Us
FUFU n’ Sauce was created from a lifelong connection to culture, heritage, and purpose.
Founded by a Togolese chef who grew up in West Africa, the brand is rooted in the traditions, flavors, and values she experienced firsthand in Togo. From an early age, food was more than nourishment. It was a way to tell stories, preserve history, and bring people together. That foundation became the catalyst for building FUFU n’ Sauce as an authentic representation of African cuisine and African identity.
As the brand evolves into a dedicated meal prep company, its mission remains clear. To create a meaningful bridge between Africa and the Western world, and to ensure African stories and traditions are represented by Africans themselves.
Authentic African Meals, Made Accessible
FUFU n’ Sauce Meal Prep offers traditional African dishes prepared with care and intention, designed for modern lifestyles without compromising authenticity. Each meal delivers bold, comforting flavors rooted in generations of West African cooking.
The menu features classic dishes such as fufu paired with a variety of slow-cooked stews, including Egusi, Palm Nut Stew, Fish Stew, Goat Pepper Soup, and Oxtail Stew. These meals are crafted to feel familiar, nourishing, and deeply connected to home.
A Commitment to the Continent
At the heart of FUFU n’ Sauce is a commitment to working directly with African vendors and suppliers from the continent. This approach was shaped by the founder’s personal experience witnessing Africa serve as a source of global resources while its people are often excluded from long-term economic benefits.
By sourcing intentionally and ethically, FUFU n’ Sauce aims to play a role in creating more equitable connections between Africa and the global food economy.
Recognized Storyteller and Culinary Leader
The founder’s work has earned national and regional recognition, including appearances on major television networks and being named a winner of a nationally acclaimed cooking competition. Her culinary voice and cultural impact have also been featured in respected food and lifestyle publications.
These accomplishments reflect not only culinary skill but a dedication to sharing African foodways with honesty, pride, and depth.
More Than Meal Prep
FUFU n’ Sauce Meal Prep is not simply about selling food. It is about forging connections.
Whether introducing fufu to a second-generation African born in North America, or creating meals for someone reconnecting with their West African roots, FUFU n’ Sauce serves as a cultural bridge. Each meal is an invitation to explore heritage, memory, and belonging through food.
FUFU n’ Sauce exists to nourish both body and identity, one meal at a time.
